first teachers and are responsible for childrens
healthy growth and development.
through-u- Families Become MediaWise®
partners with community organizations to
reach those who work directly with parents
and children. Participants then train their
colleagues and parents they serve, ensuring
that through-u
messages reach the entire community.
Overall, the MediaWise program results
show that early involvement and education
has a powerful positive effect on the media
habits of families with young children
and immediate and intermediate
outcomes can be achieved. The following
pre/post data was collected from the parents
and child care providers who have participated
in through-u programs.
