Kevin Walsh, Ed.D

Dr. Kevin J. Walsh is an assistant professor of education at William Paterson University in New Jersey where he currently teaches graduate courses in educational leadership. His area of research involves studying the media habits of children and the impact of media on the educational process. His background includes a 37 year career in K-12 public education with over 30 years experience as a middle school administrator. He also has been an adjunct professor of education for over 18 years with Seton Hall University where he teaches in their doctoral leadership program. He is an established and well respected educational visionary and recognized middle school expert. He has chaired state level committees, authored several articles dealing with middle level education and presented at state and national conventions. A passionate educational leader, he is convinced of the importance of the mission of the Institute on Media and the Family and is eager to share this message with parents, teachers and educational leaders.

Dr. Walsh received his Doctorate of Education from Seton Hall University where he is currently on the faculty. He also serves as a consultant to the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association. A recipient of several awards including a Geraldine R. Dodge fellowship, he is recognized as an engaging and dynamic speaker. He and his wife Georgiana have four grown children and six grandchildren.
