Steve Schroeder-Davis,

Training Consultant and Speaker
Dr. Stephen Schroeder-Davis
is currently a curriculum specialist for #ISD 728, Elk
River Public Schools. He is also an adjunct faculty member
for Saint Mary's University. After helping pilot the original
"Media Wise" project for the National Institute
on Media and the Family, he developed an elective course
for Saint Mary's entitled "Media Literacy for Educators,"
and presented an abbreviated version of the course for
several school districts around the state.
Dr. Schroeder-Davis also serves as a guest lecturer throughout
his district on issues related to media literacy and spent
two years working at the K-8 level delivering workshops
on the media's influence on students.
Dr. Schroeder-Davis is also a consultant for districts
throughout the Midwest as well as a speaker and consultant
for the Minnesota Department of Education. He is widely
published and is a winner of numerous awards, including
the both the state and regional WEM Educator Award for
Academics, the National Association for Gifted Children's
Dissertation Honor, the Minnesota Middle School Association's
"Educator of the Year" runner-up, and is a recipient
of the "Friend of the Gifted" Award from the
Ohio and Minnesota Parent Associations and the Minnesota
Educators of the Gifted and Talented.
